BIOGRAPHY:
Dr. Dalia El Khoury is an Assistant Professor in Applied Human Nutrition at the Department of Family Relations and Applied Nutrition at the University of Guelph, Canada. She has earned her BSc. in Nutrition and Dietetics and her MSc. in Nutrition at the American University of Beirut, Lebanon. In 2008, Dr. El Khoury completed her Ph.D. in Physiology and Physiopathology at the University Pierre et Marie Curie, France, after which she completed her postdoctoral fellowship at the University of Toronto, Canada. Dr. El Khoury’s research interests have focused on the role of dietary proteins and functional ingredients/foods in the regulation of appetite, food intake, glycemia and metabolism in healthy individuals and individuals at risk for or with nutrition-related disorders including obesity, hyperinsulinemia, and the metabolic syndrome. Dr. El Khoury has also worked in the fields of sports nutrition and infant nutrition through experiences in both academia and private industry.
