BIOGRAPHY:
Dr. Parikshit Bagchi is presently working as a research investigator in the Department of Cell and Developmental Biology, University of Michigan, Michigan, USA. He received his Ph.D. in Microbiology from University of Calcutta, India in 2012. He completed his bachelor’s degree from University Calcutta (2004) and master’s from University of Kalyani, India (2006). After completing his Ph.D. work as a research fellow in National Institute of Cholera and Enteric Disease, India, he joined University of Michigan, USA (2013) as a post-doctoral research fellow and presently working as a research faculty at the same place. He has 10 years of research experience in various biological fields especially in molecular biology, virology, and host-virus interaction. He was awarded a Senior Research Fellowship (SRF) by CSIR (2010-2012) and Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) from Okayama University, Japan (2007- 2010). He also qualified in GATE (2006) and NET in life sciences (2006-2007). He has published more than 18 research articles in various international and national journals. He also serves as an editor of Journal of Post-Doctoral Research and reviewer for several eminent scientific journals.
