BIOGRAPHY:
Dr. Simona Vingiani is working as Associate Professor in Pedology, Department of Agricultural Sciences, University of Naples Federico II, Italy. He did Ph.D. in “Agricultural Chemistry”, at University of Naples Federico II, Italy and Post-Doctoral Fellowship at the Italian National Council of Research (CNR). He was President of the Soil Mineralogy Commission (VII) of the Italian Society of Soil Science (SISS) (2011-2013).
Dr. Simona Vingiani Investigation in waste polluted sites by means of proximal sensing equipment (electrical conductivity and gamma-ray analysis) and trace element determination by using portable X-ray Fluorescence analyzer. Studies of organ-mineral interactions aimed to understand soil organic matter (SOM) stabilization processes in Andosols. Soil properties in viticulture areas aimed to land management. Land evaluation for specific purposes (such as biomass production) and land degradation (such as volcanic andic soils involved in landslide events). Soil survey and soil mapping.
