BIOGRAPHY:
Dr. Chee Kong YAP is currently working as Associate Professor in the Department of Biology, Faculty of Science at University Putra Malaysia (UPM) since May 2009 and previously he was appointed as a lecturer and senior lecturer in 2003 and 2007 respectively, at the same Department. He obtained his BSc with Edu (Hons), Masters of Science and Ph.D. degrees in 1998, 2000 and 2003 from the Faculty of Science and Environmental Studies from UPM.
He has been teaching the courses of Biological Concepts, Ecology, Ecotoxicology, and Aquatic Ecosystem Management at the undergraduate level, and Research Methodology at the postgraduate level, with more than 130 credit hours since 2003. He authored paper entitled ‘Variations of electrical conductivity between upstream and downstream of Langat River, Malaysia. It's significance as a single indicator of water quality deterioration. He has a publication in international journals.
He has Member of the Diversity of the Indo-Pacific Network (DIP net) (since May 2014) and other associations. He has given many oral and poster presentation and authored the number of research articles which were published in scholarly journals.
