BIOGRAPHY:
Dr. Xinyuan Wang is a Postdoctoral Researcher in the Department of Neuroscience at the University of Pennsylvania. She received her M.D. from Southern Medical University, China, and her PhD from Fudan University School of Basic Medical Sciences, China. During her phd., Dr. Wang, conducted research at the Institute for Cell Engineering, John Hopkins University School of Medicine, United States, as a visiting student for four years. Currently, she works on investigating molecular and cellular mechanisms of human neurological diseases and mental disorders using patient-specific iPSCs from fibroblasts of human patients. Her primary area of expertise is in human induced pluripotent stem cell (iPSC) disease modeling.
Dr. Xinyuan Wang received many awards during her career. She is a co-author of papers published in Nature and Cell. She is an active independent reviewer for multiple academic journals, including Experimental Neurology, Frontiers in Genetics, The Spine Journal. She is a member of Society for Neuroscience and International Society for Stem Cell Research. She has numerous publications and presentations.
